Cooper Driving School Policies:

  • Lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged for the lesson or a late cancellation fee of $30 applies.
  • Fees are payable in full at the first lesson or at the end of each lesson.
  • There will be no refund for completed lessons.
  • We allow one passenger (friend, spouse, parent or child) in the vehicle during your lessons.
  • We reserve the right to change our pricing and policies at any time.
  • Students are responsible to carry their license for all lessons including restrictions such as glasses.
  • Students are responsible to be fit and legal to drive for each lesson.
  • If the instructor shows up for a lesson and you do not show, or you are unfit to drive, you are charged for the full rate.
  • All prices include taxes.
  • Students drive most lessons for the full 90 minutes with the occasional stop on the roadside to sketch an intersection or stretch their legs if needed. A few minutes each session is dedicated to a summary at the end and paperwork signing and reviewing the last session, at the beginning of each class.
  • Our car is very sophisticated with power seats and steering column adjustments. Students are encouraged to repeatedly learn to master superior positioning and comfort as well as the best setup to maximize vision while driving. Additionally, all features of the car should be mastered.
  • Our Acura RDX is a very comfortable vehicle kept in prime condition for everyone’s safety.
  • Additionally, we protect everyone with dual video cameras which record both in front of the car, and the rear of the car, in the case of a collision. Video footage is never stored with any connection to a student nor any of their privacy rights.
  • We hold the right to terminate any lesson for any reason including a booked road test.
  • All student records are kept for five years a required by ICBC. At the five-year mark, all records are destroyed.
  • Our Acura is insurance with $5,000,000 coverage.
  • Our Acura has dual brakes and dual gas controls.
  • Cooper is certified for occupational first aid.
  • We do not use dual steering control vehicles because of the safety concern related to instructors’ side steering wheels interfering with the airbag releases in the event of a collision. These dual steerings are bare steel with no airbag protection.
  • Out Acura costs more to run as compared to most driving schools, which is done on purpose to keep our instructors at a maximum comfort level throughout their working days. A happy instructor equals a happy client.
  • Students can text Cooper any time to ask questions.
  • Our main goal with all clients is to install a seriousness for driving, as well as put all clients on a path to continually develop Calm Driving for the rest of their lives.
  • We encourage clients to text us with questions or stories regarding any close calls they may experience after leaving our training. Take care out there.
